Finger Lakes Community College Foundation will present Vintners & Valentines, a fundraiser for the viticulture and wine technology and hospitality programs at Finger Lakes Community College. Intended as a winemaker's dinner, showcasing Finger Lakes wineries, each table will be hosted by a local winery (winemaker or assistant winemaker). The winemaker will pair their wines with a gourmet meal designed and prepared by FLCC culinary students. The popular live auction and the wine pull - featuring limited tickets for a chance to win library, cellar or gold-medal wines - are part of the 2020 program as well.

We are excited to offer a new twist to the Vintners & Valentines this year - a Curated Tasting. For more information on the Curated Tasting, please see below.

Meal tickets are $150 per person and the optional add-on for the Curated Tasting is $30 per person.

Soup Course: Roasted Cauliflower Soup- oven roasted cauliflower pureed with a hint of cream. Appetizer Course: Pan Seared Bronzini- bronzini fillets pan seared and accompanied by a shaved fennel and orange salad and a citrus beurre blanc sauce. Salad Course: Beet and Gorgonzola Salad- Mixed greens, fresh tarragon, parsley and chive, pickled gold beets, and gorgonzola Entrée Course: Classic Osso Buco- Proscuitto wrapped veal shank braised with forest mushrooms and finished with a rich brown sauce atop a crisp polenta cake with haricots verts and rainbow carrots.

Salad Course: Beet and Gorgonzola Salad- Mixed greens, fresh tarragon, parsley and chive, pickled gold beets, and gorgonzola Entrée Course: Braised Tofu: Seasoned firm tofu filet braised with forest mushrooms atop a crisp polenta cake with haricots verts and rainbow carrots. Curated Tasting - (Add-on option and begins at 5:30 PM) Students and alumni of the college's viticulture and wine technology program will offer a deeper dive into the world of Finger Lakes wine. You may try a vertical tasting - in which you sample different vintages (years) from the same winery - or a horizontal tasting - samples of the same vintage from different vineyards and wineries. You may even have the chance to try a tank or barrel sample of a wine that has yet to be bottled.
