Enology Track Overview
This variation of our A.A.S Viticulture and Wine Technology degree increases the focus on biology, chemistry, and math to help you master the science of winemaking. As a transfer program, this track prepares you for the upper-level courses you'll take at a four-year institution.
Professional Wine Production Facilities
As a viticulture student, you'll take most or all of your classes at the Viticulture and Wine Center in Geneva, NY. This professional facility features a teaching winery, vineyard, enology lab, aging rooms, crush pad, and classroom.
Work with the same wine technology and equipment you'll find at local wineries throughout the Finger Lakes region.

Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Enology track program, students will be able to:
- Practice fermentation management.
- Appraise and critique sustainable techniques in vineyard management.
- Evaluate scenarios to prevent common viticulture and wine making problems.
- Compare and appraise the technologies used in wine making.
- Develop practical skills used in wine making.
- Discuss the ecology of yeast and bacteria as they exist in juice and wine media.
